Supporting WA youth (15-25yrs) to engage in an evidence-based movement program, in a supportive, inclusive and and non-judgmental environment. We delivery an inclusive physical activity program that is flexible and responsive to the needs of disengaged or ‘at risk young people who are currently under serviced in community physical activity pathways.
Program participants may have lived experience of trans and gender diversity, neurodivergence, mental health challenges or distress, homelessness or unstable housing and/or substance use.
Our overall goal is to increase activity and improve health outcomes of diverse and/or disadvantaged young people by:
Youth Moves is provided free of charge to young people due to support from Delivered in partnership with The Department of Local Government, Sports and Cultural Industries and Stan Perron Charitable Foundation.
10-week community based movement program to engage youth (aged 15–25) with high rates of disengagement and limited access to physical activity.
Weekly movement and activity sessions tailored to participant preferences, ages and community needs. We offer a range of activities such as dance, team sports, gym-based activities, outdoor activities, boxing, strength & conditioning, and aerobic exercises.
Our aim is to build confidence, knowledge, motivation and enjoyment of movement and activity.
10-week community based movement program tailored for Trans and Gender Diverse, Non-Binary, and LGBTQIA+ young people.
Weekly movement and activity sessions tailored to participant preferences, ages and community needs. Plus peer supported informal education around movement and how it can help support mental and physical health, build confidence and overall wellbeing.
