Thriving is Expanding to Mt Hawthorn!

We are thrilled to share exciting news with you! Made possible with the support of Telethon, Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, Stan Perron Charitable Foundation and the generosity of our community donors, Thriving in Motion is opening a new location for Term 1 2025
Thriving in Motion at MT HAWTHORN is opening it’s doors for term 1 2025, expanding Thriving in Motion’s services for kids and young people further into the community!
Our face-to-face exercise programs are designed for any young people who encounter barriers to participating in physical activities at school or within the community. Through tailored exercise interventions, we are dedicated to nurturing a love for movement, building physical literacy, and fostering self-confidence.
Services available during Term 1 include:
- Physical Literacy & Health Assessments, facilitated by Accredited Exercise Physiologists.
- Small Group Sessions with a ratio of 1 instructor to 4 participants, fostering a supportive environment to develop physical literacy, movement skills and social skills.
- Group Fitness and Strength & Conditioning Sessions with a ratio of 1 instructor to 8 participants, focus on increasing young people’s motivation and confidence to be active while keeping them fit and strong .
- 1-on-1 Sessions, led by Accredited Exercise Physiologists or Exercise Scientists to provide personal, goal oriented sessions.

We have capacity for assessments and enrolment across all 3 of our locations: UWA, CRAIGIE and MT HAWTHORN for Term 1, including group and individual sessions with Accredited Exercise Physiologists1
Formal referrals are welcomed but not needed to join our programs.
From the link below anyone (e.g., health professionals or families) can refer or enrol in specific programs or provide information about goals/needs and we will be in touch around options.

Youth Moves Program
A supportive, welcoming, accessible and inclusive group environment for young people to experience various types of movement and explore ways exercise can support mental and physical health
No cost to participants thanks to the support of the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
